Thrust fields – Propulsive acceleration of a mass without fuel. Propellantless propulsion was originally envisioned for long distance space travel, but may be used also for putting objects into near Earth orbit and keeping them geosynchronous at any elevation. Terrestrially, this field may be appropriate for levitating and propelling vehicles, platforms, emergency egress and sporting equipment.
As suggested in their 2010 AIAA paper “Coupled Gravitational Fields: A New Paradigm for Propulsion Science.”, Hauser and Droscher ask the reader to imagine themselves in a spaceship. In your space ship if you travel the first channel (of conversion from a photo to a +/- pair of gravitophotons) the momentum of the negative gravitophoton is absorbed by the spaceship while the momentum of the positive gravitophoton is absorbed by spacetime. Ifyou travel the second channel the gravitons generated are absorbed by your spaceship while the quintessence particles are reabsorbed by spacetime. As they state, “…the momentum of the quintessence particle is not felt by the space vehicle, but by the surrounding spacetime and leads to its expansion, because of the repulsive force, and thus total momentum is being conserved.” The overall effect causes an acceleration in the spaceship.
