Barrier fields – a stationary repulsive gravity-like field would repel particles and droplets, making it a potential mechanism for material-less windows, dust barriers and rain shields at low intensities. Repulsion of oxygen molecules should also make possible barriers that extinguish combustion. Sufficiently strong repulsion may allow for low pressure zones without the use of chambers.
